Imperial Griffins offers a structured, multi-phase training program designed to develop disciplined, mission-ready pilots.
From basic flight operations in the F-5E to advanced multi-role combat tactics, each stage builds your skills with purpose and realism. Regular checkrides, instructor-led sessions, and a clear progression path ensure every pilot trains to the highest standard.
Program overview
Training is the foundation of everything we do. Our mission-focused curriculum turns new recruits into mission-ready pilots through structured instruction, rigorous evaluation, and a disciplined, real-world-inspired approach to combat aviation.
Basic Training
Your journey begins in the F-5E — our designated trainer aircraft. This part covers:
Ground School: Air law, flight planning, communications, emergency procedures, air combat theory, and more
Flight Proficiency: Startup, taxi, takeoff, landing, basic maneuvers, instrument procedures, and more
- Tactical Operations: Air-to-Air, Air-to-Ground, Formation, and more
Advanced Airframe Training
Once you’re qualified in the F-5E, you may proceed to an advanced airframe such as the F-16C or F/A-18C.
Airframe Qualification (AQ): Learn systems, avionics, radar, and more
Combat Qualification (CQ): Multi-role operations, Air-to-Air Refuelling, BVR, Coordinated Strike, and more
Mission Ready (MR): Certified for full participation in squadron operations
Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)
For those who excel in skill and leadership, we offer:
Instructor Methodology & Standards: Structured training techniques and maintaining squadron standards
Evaluation & Feedback Skills: Ability to assess pilots’ performance and deliver clear feedback
Flight Currency & checkride
All pilots must fly and demonstrate proficiency every 90 days to remain active. Lapsed pilots must pass a Currency Check Flight with an instructor. Regular Checkrides and theory exams ensure operational readiness and uphold the quality of every pilot in our ranks.
